Here in the great state of North Carolina we have a few tracks, the two I can speak of from personal knowledge are....
Black Ankle Racepark close to Star,NC ... track is open and fast.. about 1 1/2 in lenght with some nice doubles, triples and a huge tabletop. Races for bikes are every other Fri night and Quads only on Weds.
The other and the best IMO
Rolling Hills on Rt158 towards Yackenville,NC... its really two tracks... in the fall they run the big track with is huge more than almost two mile with a few man made tunnles, lots of turns , some off canter whoops, and a 60 foot drop off. Not real great for spectators due to the trees .
The other track is more of a supercross track... tight turns and compact less than a mile.. feature a 20 foot drop with a hairpin left turn going into a hairpin right turn right into a three set of triple whoops. Real tech track, if you go fast there your GOOD ! Also has a couple good long drop off sthat are a muddy mess when wet.
They have a bike wash, showers, and real flush toilets
Races are every other Sat night. Unlike Black Ankle they are open all day Wed for practice.
Theres also Kill Devil Hills, over by Hillsboro and Lake Sugar Tree (Dave Baliey's place) over the state line in Virginia. Never been to either of them so I can't give you any info on them.
We also have Uhwarrie Nation Park with is a ORV area... on the north side of Troy,NC It has about 400 miles of tracks and trails all cut thur there. Spark arresters are required! Forest service don't play and NO BOOZE !
Got to look out for horses and their droppings, bikes, quads and 4x4's welcomed. However BEWARE... there are only a few maps and the trails are not very well marked... real easy to get lost there and will take you hours to find your way out. Plenty of different places to park but not many with hook ups for overnight camping ect...
Also when things are real dry the park service will close it.
