If your going to be going across open water or deep powder take and either remove your mudflap or take your hands and bend it up because water and snow bounces off that and gets trapped back in track area which slows you down and can make the difference between sinking/getting stuck or making it. I always bend mine back like all the sno-cross racers do and it looks good and helps alot.

for when u are doin the water cross take it off, not in general take it off only for water skipping.

I got a better idea... when theres snow on the ground and its cold outside....
Stock up on Jack Daniels and chips and hibernate till spring .

make sure u put it back on for normal riding though because it keeps the rear heeatt exchanger cold
