Anybody from the Duluth area?

Last year the Duluth City Council pasted a ruling forbidding ATV's on public land within the city limits. I'm all for that as I don't really care for quads anyway, rutting up the trails, riding on the groomed snowmobile trails, etc... The bad part is that motorcycles kinda got lumped into the mix. So now all the trails that I've been riding on all my life are off limits to all motorized vehicles except snowmobiles. I'm referring to the trails that start up on the Piedmont power lines and run out to Spirit Mt. / Duluth Zoo and out to Fond Du Lac.

The trails 'over the hill' are all clay and can get pretty muddy this time of the year:



Anyway, long story longer, wondering if anybody is still riding out that ways and if the city is actually inforcing the ban or not.

I spent last summer riding up in Brimson and Namedji State forest but wouldn't mind riding from the garage as well instead of having to trailer all the time.

dont you mean the bemedji state forest...im in the brainerd area so i cant help you much i know that they havent done any banning down here

That would suck..some people ruin it for the rest of us. Recently some asshole stole from the donation box at a local public track...so now they are closing their gates to everyone. Sometimes you want to just beat the people that do it.

The CLAT SUCKS i got stuck in it once and i was like holy god this sucks b/c it like hardens to ur bike. took 1 hour to get out of non stop digging and pushing

Yeah I don't really have to worry about clay down at my track, its all silt and black dirt.

No, I really do mean Namedji State Forest. There are probably a billzion state forest's in MN. This one is located between Duluth and Twin Cities on Hwy 23.
