I was jsut wondering how much wrench time every one does on there bike or quad??? I usually work on my bike at least 8 hours aweek. I just do the same thing over and over b.c. I want my bike to run awsome everytime I ride.... and it seems to help b.c. it runs great.

i spend at least 3 hours usually cleaning the bike, then I clean the chain, air filter, torque every nut and bolt, take the plastics off and clean them and stuff behind them, check tire pressure, tighten my spokes, check my frame and everything to make sure their aint cracks. I might be missing some things because i am tired but you get the idea. Also...about 99% of the time when I am cleaning my bike its with a toothbrush.

yeah its a good idea with a quad...you can never trust what you get with one of those things...they are dangerous to me and i wouldn't race one if you paid me

Sounds like a good game plan... pm is the difference between #1 and DNF For me its about 2hrs for every hr riding. Not including downloading the black box and making adjustments to the timing and spark. Usually its just strip, wash, wax... check all bolts, nuts,& screws. Check all safety wire stuff. lube cables and chain. Spray PAM to the underside of all plastic. Check all pressures and fluid levels. Check batteries and charge or replace as needed. Some people say I'm anal in my prep... but I hate walking!

Its better to work on the bike and know that nothing it wrong than to not give a damn and it bites ya in the ass then.
