here is my piston and spark plug after last wkend.. the bike wouldn't start.. so we bump started it.. then come to find the spark plug missing the electrode the following day when we changed the plug.  |

your running lean ontop of your bad plug. my bike ran lean and had the same but way worse efect to the top. ill get tayz to put a pic of my piston. the top was fryed off down to the top ring on the edge. how bad did it score your cylinder? is it honable or do you need to reline it or are you geting a new cylinder?

wow...that sucks bad...did the electrode go down into the low end or what happened?? Fill us in with some new news. Hope you get it fixed soon so you can keep racing

She has a RM125 I beleive (not sure if she has more than one) and that looks alot like a NGK...you can sort of see the NGK paint on the side of the plug by her finger

I would be pretty pissed i would deffinitly contact NGK they prolly wont do anything but there is no reason a plug electrode should fall off unless didnt replace it when it got wore

Yeah unless the elecrode bent the point where it hit the piston top and then snapped off, or maybe it was gapped wrong....who knows but that is pretty odd.

ive put holes in my pistons back when i had my blaster Haha, even though I went through about 4 top ends in my blaster motor, never managed to put a hole in one. However my buddy can tell you about his dad putting holes in their banshee pistons the size of a quarter. Ouch. And how the hell does an electrode just fall off?? How old was your plug? |
