One of my buddies showed this to me and I think its awesome that MiniMoto magazine is exposing these POS bikes to others that dont know the truth! This review just proves what I saying on the thumpstar thread!

RMtiddler I wasnt dissing Thumpstar's in particular but their not totally proven either yet so time will tell if Thumpstar is the real deal or a joke.

The machines known in the US such as SDG, Thumpstar, and Pitster Pro are actually pretty decent bikes now. I have ridden an SDG and loved the motor feel and the way it rode. I have seen pictures of the thumpstar on mx.com being riden pretty hard and jumped and it seemed very good. Usually anything being designed at least in america will be good. If it comes straight from someone that has stretched eyes its gonna be horrible.

Yes I have a friend of mine had a SDG 106 or 107cc whatever they are your right the motor rips but the trannies are weak always shifting into false nuetrals inbetween gears and this is common problem with SDG's as I've seen numerous SDG owners post on the pitbike websites about the problems they expirenced with their bike and alot of the problems were the same thing from different people.
Bottom line is there not on the same level of quality and reliability as the Hondas!

Yeah of course they won't be. But they are more affordable than a fully tricked out $10,000 honda with all its parts. The SDG problem can be fixed by polishing the gears and replacing some internal parts because they come with a weak pin and it snaps and causes the gears to grind eachother down. Pretty much a domino effect. I bet as they build them they will become more and more reliable. I was surprised at how good the SDG was considering all the trash I heard about them. Don't beleive what you hear until you prove it...(not to you beckwizzle, but just as a lesson)

I guess I'm out of the loop. I'd take a RMZ450, modd that, and have money left over. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Yeah I am at school right now, but I don't really see the point in modding out a 50 that much because its a huge amount of money to waste.
