Alright everybody what was your worst injury caused from MXing? The very first time I rode a fiddy 3yrs ago my brother brought one over that he just bought. So I get on it and I'm having a blast! I was feeling a lil crazy so we stacked a wooden pallet on a recycling bin for me to jump! Well I jumped the pallet and when I landed I had one foot out to keep my balance. When I hit the ground my leg bent really awkward and I ended up breaking my leg!(remember I was only two feet in the air if that!) Well the very next day after the hospital I crutched my ass into the local dealer and bought my own fiddy! The salesman thought I was insane when I told him it happend on a fiddy and there I was buying one with a cast and crutches! C'mon dont be shy share your stories of getting injured or just being stupid! I wont tell anyone!

I forgot my boots at home and I was at a practice track about 10 miles from my house and I had my 80...well I had my tennis shoes on and my foot slipped off the peg on this straight stretch and I stubbed my foot on a rock and I think it broke something in my foot but I never bothered to go to the hospital...it hurt for a few weeks. Always remember your boots!

oh well this is pretty sad, but i pegged my shin hard (yes, i shoulda been wearing my boots but it was like 100 degrees out) cuz my short ass cant touch the ground. the really sad part is, i was stopped. few steri-strips later (i needed stiches, but kept riding instead of going in....xplains why i have a big-ass scar there). oh well! i bruised my tailbone snowboarding....hurts like hell, dont recommend it!!

Back in '86 I bought a XR-600 after a few years without a bike. Picked the bike up on a thursaday and that following sunday I took off for the trails by the house. Theres used to be (were still there in '86) some nice easy trails along the old Erie Canle. Well like I said it had been a few years bikeless, so I was having a super blast with that 600. Everything was fine till i decided to "open it up" on what was a nice flat semi straight trail from the old canle lockhouse to the railroad tracks. About the time I had it in 6th with a full throttle I found some concrete the state DOT had dumped on the trail.... I managed to get it slowed down to around 30 (XR's have a digital speedo) and was doing fairly good at zig zaging around the chunks of concrete the size of motors when I rammed one... bike stopped , I didn't. Did a full flip and landed on my back in a bunch of stone. Laid there about 30 mins just trying to catch my breath. Finally got up and limbed back to bike but couldn't pick it up. So I walked about 1/2 mile to a C store off Rt 32 and called someone that had a truck and knew the area. I met him along Rt 32 and we hiked back to bike, he picked it up and pushed it to the van. ( A 14 foot cube van he brought ). The van didn't have a tailgate or ramp and we couldn't get the bike up into it. I tried starting it but the pain in my hip, shoulder, and both wrist made this impossible. My friend tried to start it but when the kick starter kicked back at him he gave up. His idea was to leave the bike there and come back later for it. Now you tell my if any of you would leave a brand new $3700 bike along the road at the head of a trail... didn't think so. So I ended up pushing the bike the 5 miles to my house along the city streets. Dropped in the yard and yelled for the old lady to get the keys she was taking me to the hospital.
Damage to bike: Small dent in front rim, and some sratches in the plastic. Damage to me: Right wriste three fractures, Left wrist four fractures, Chipped right collor bone, bruised right hip. strained back. If I hadn't been wearing full gear I don't think I'd be typing this.

XtremeSkier i had something like that on my side except it ran from my armpit to my waist... i lost 7 layers of skin, but i kept this cream stuff on it to keep it moist, it was definalty more painfull then breaking a bone, dirt bike tires and skin just don't mix.
