I never wore a kidney belt because there uncomfortable, but you get used to it,, and they are called a kidney belt, because they hold your kidneys still so you aren't pissing blood when your 35, they offer back support and some body armor, from now on i wear mine all the time!

OMG finally someone with some brains... Yes kidney belts help to hold everything in place and help to reduce that lower back pain you feel after the race. BTW you right about the red piss when your 35.
